At the same time, measures to review the standards of visual load in childhood, the introduction of preventive strategies, modern diagnostic technologies for the prevention of visual impairment from childhood, are only gaining increasing importance. The purpose of our study was to substantiate the improved model of interdisciplinary interaction to prevent the spread of ophthalmic pathology in children, taking into account the need to implement emphasis on preventive, predicative and personalization of medical care. The materials for the study were the results of sociological research among doctors and educators, analytical materials, general recommendations of the WHO regarding the medical and social aspects of the occurrence of visual function disorders in children of various ages, their potential influence on the formation of the quality of life and the ability to socialize in future adolescence and adulthood. Research methods included: system approach and system analysis; analytical and synthetic; structural analysis; sociological research, SWOT analysis and graphic modeling. Based on the results of the research, proposals for improving the organization of providing medical and preventive care to children, taking into account the results of the SWOT analysis of the work of the domestic ophthalmological service, the study of the attitude of doctors and educators to the problem of preserving healthy vision from childhood, were substantiated. The readiness of both educators and doctors to actively participate in preventive programs, provided that their knowledge and skills of implementing modern medical and preventive strategies with a combination of a preventive, predictive, personalized approach to prevent the spread of ophthalmic diseases among children, have been revealed. The analysis of the peculiarities and conditions of the functioning of the health care industry, in general, and the ophthalmology service, in particular, made it possible to justify an improved model of intersectoral interaction to prevent the spread of ophthalmological pathology in children. Its innovative elements were: functional and organizational integration of the private and public sectors of health care, educational institutions of various forms of ownership around the implementation of the tasks of forming the ophthalmological health of children; application of a differentiated approach in the organization of preventive diagnostic examinations and further supervision of the formation of visual functions in children of different ages; implementation of medical and preventive ophthalmological intervention in children with the introduction of a preventive, predictive, personalized approach.
