Abstract

Abstract. The problems of water supply and water security in Ukraine in the conditions of an armed conflict with the russian aggressor are analyzed in the article. Damage to the water supply and wastewater treatment systems worsened the sanitary and hygienic condition of the territories, limited the population's access to drinking water of the territories where hostilities are taking place or in areas at risk of loss of water supply sources. This deepens not only the humanitarian catastrophe, but also negatively affects the environment. Seizure of water infrastructure poses a threat of flooding large areas of Ukraine. The establishment of high-quality, uninterrupted and safe water supply has become a matter of survival and needs an immediate solution with the involvement of specialists, authorities and international organizations.
