Abstract

Abstract. The results of an experimental study on the interferoninducing activity of 10 selected strains of the tick-borne encephalitis virus in laboratory mice with the aim of identifying potential candidates for the production of immunobiological drugs are given. It was established that the investigated strains of the tick-borne encephalitis virus mainly have high interferoninducing activity, which was characterized by wave-like dynamics with two pronounced, as a rule, peaks of interferon accumulation in the blood of mice. The most optimal candidate for the production of a specific vaccine, serum and immunoglobulin should be considered strain No. 2288, which in a comparative study with other strains showed the strongest and longest interferon-inducing effect.
