Abstract. The effectiveness of chemoprophylaxis of tuberculosis in 230 adolescent children from centers of tuberculosis infection of various degrees of epidemiological danger was studied. The high frequency of increasing tuberculin sensitivity, persistent hyperergic tuberculin reaction after a course of chemoprophylaxis in children from centers of drug-resistant tuberculosis indicates insufficient effectiveness of its standard regimens and the need to improve an individual approach to the prevention of tuberculosis in contact children, taking into account all risk factors. It has been proven that the differentiated use of pathogenetic therapy agents with different points of application, along with tuberculostatic drugs, depending on the initial state of the body, in a significant percentage of cases increases the effectiveness of chemoprophylaxis, eliminates negative manifestations from the use of chemotherapy drugs and the presence of concomitant diseases.
