MEDICAL-SOCIAL JUSTIFICATION OF THE MODEL FOR PROVIDING DENTAL CARE TO PEOPLE WITH ENDOCRINE SYSTEM DISEASES AT THE REGIONAL LEVEL

Abstract

Introduction. The urgency of the problem is determined by the rapid growth of the number of patients with endocrine diseases, accompanied by a significant level of dental complications. Conditions such as xerostomia, gingivitis in pregnant women, periodontitis, caries, impaired enamel mineralization or candidiasis of the oral mucosa reduce the quality of life and require an interdisciplinary approach to prevention and treatment. The situation is complicated by the imperfection of organizational and financial mechanisms that do not adequately address the specific needs of this category of patients, which justifies the need to find new scientific and practical solutions. This study aims to develop and substantiate an integrative model for providing dental care to patients with endocrine diseases at the regional level, combining clinical algorithms, preventive programs, and socioeconomic tools. Research methods. The study used a systemic and interdisciplinary approach to analyze dental care for patients with endocrine diseases. Clinical and epidemiological observations were used to assess dental complications in different age groups. The analytical method systematized data on health care mechanisms. System modeling developed an integrative model with clinical protocols and preventive programs. Structural and logical analysis identified clinical routes and performance indicators. The results of the study comprise the creation of an integrative model that incorporates clinical measures, educational and preventive programs, screening measures, as well as socioeconomic mechanisms aimed at increasing the accessibility of care. The proposed model takes into account the characteristics of different patient groups, including young children, adults, women of childbearing age, and pregnant women. The practical significance of the study is to create a scientific basis for the modernization of the dental care system at the regional level. Conclusions. The implementation of the model will improve the quality and accessibility of treatment and preventive services, reduce socio-economic losses, and improve the dental health of patients with endocrine system diseases.
