For Authors
To publish an article in “Via Stomatologiae”, vol. 3, no. 1 (2026), you should take the following steps until February 27, 2026 (inclusively): fill in an application form at the link and send an article meeting the relevant requirements to viastomatologiae@gmail.com.
Academic integrity
The editorial office guarantees high-quality anonymous peer-review of each contribution. All papers are subject to check for plagiarism using StrikePlagiarism.com by the Polish company Plagiat.pl.
No more than one article by the same author (co-author) may be published in the issue.
The editorial board encourages authors to submit manuscripts in English to facilitate the international dissemination of research findings.
Prohibition on using the aggressor state’s scholarly papers
It is prohibited citing and including in the reference list Russian-language publications published in any country, including papers written in other languages but published in russia and belarus.
The journal does not charge a submission fee. The publication fee is charged only after an article has been accepted for publication and has no influence on the peer-review process or editorial decisions.
Submitted manuscripts are subject to editing, peer review, and plagiarism check.
If the article successfully passes peer review and is accepted for publication, the author will be provided with bank details for payment of the publication fee.
After making the payment, the author must send a scanned copy of the receipt to the editorial office.
The publication fee is UAH 1,600 (up to 12 pages). Each extra page is charged at UAH 50. The publication fee covers the costs associated with the processing, peer review, and publication of the article.
The editorial board accepts individual articles submitted by postgraduate students enrolled in state-funded programs for publication free of charge, provided that the manuscripts are authored solely by the students (without co-authors), comply with the journal’s requirements, and adhere to the principles of academic integrity.
Along with the manuscript, postgraduate students enrolled in state-funded programs must submit a certificate issued the graduate studies department confirming their enrollment. The certificate must be signed by the head of the relevant department and bear the its official seal.
Authors may also order a printed copy of the journal. The cost of a printed copy is UAH 1,000 and is payable in addition to the publication fee.
Deadlines
The journal’s electronic version will be publicly available on the official website until May 15, 2026.
The journal’s printed version will be sent to the authors who order a printed copy until June 15, 2026.
General requirements
- It is accepted literature reviews, topical, original, and other types of articles, including experimental and clinical studies, with a total volume of 10 to 20 pages (clinical cases, birthday milestones, historical essays – from 4 to 6 pages).
- It is not accepted articles which have been published and submitted to other journals, as well as ones which are a reformulation of previously published articles and do not contain new scholarly material or a new scholarly understanding of already familiar material.
- All manuscripts submitted to the journal should be accompanied by data on the conflict of interest at the end of the publication (for example: Conflict of interest: the author(s) declare(s) that they have no conflict of interest).
- Languages: Ukrainian and English
- References to sources are in the order of their mention in the text, using Arabic numerals in square brackets: for example, [3], [2-4] [5; 7].
- The International System of Units (SI) should be used in articles.
- Supporting data (diagrams, graphs, photographs, tables, etc.) should not exceed ten items. Photos should be in contrast. Drawings and diagrams should be clear, free from inscriptions that should be included in the caption to the illustration. The inscriptions that are part of the figure should be of the same size and in the same style. Illustrations (clinical photographs, drawings, graphs, charts, diagrams, etc.) are submitted as mentioned in the text and are also provided as separate files (TIFF or JPEG, WMF, PCX, bmp, COR5, Excel, Adobe Photoshop formats). Captions for illustrations should be submitted in a separate file.
- The article is submitted as a Word file. The file name – the name of the first author, section. For example: Ivanenko_Therapeutic_Dentistry.
Article structure
Data should be presented as follows:
1) UDC;
2) the line below – ORCID (https://orcid.org/);
3) information about the author(s) in the article’s language indicating initials and surname, scientific degree, academic title, post, affiliation, full address, and e-mail;
4) article title;
5) abstracts and keywords in the article’s language;
The abstract should meet the requirements of scientometric databases and contain the following highlighted elements: introduction, research objective, research materials and methods, results, conclusions, and keywords. The abstract should be at least 1800 characters with spaces. The total number of keywords is at least three and no more than seven.
6) information about the author(s) in English;
7) article title in English;
8) abstract and keywords in English;
If the article is in English, the information is presented first in English, then in Ukrainian.
9) The article’s text with the specific structure. The research relevance (introduction) should include: problem statement in general and its connection with important scientific and practical tasks; analysis of recent research and publications that have initiated and highlighted a partial solution to the problem concerned; specification of the previously unsolved parts of the general problem the article is devoted to.
Purpose statement (task statement);
Materials and research methods should include the research design, methods used, and the conclusion of the bioethics committee (in the case of a clinically or experimentally oriented article).
Research results and their discussion;
Conclusions and prospects for further developments;
10) Bibliography (it is given at the end of the article in the order of mentioning in the text and should be drawn up following the current standards of bibliographic (see the National Standard of Ukraine DSTU 8302:2015 “Information and documentation. Bibliographic reference. General provisions and compilation rules”. To ensure the quality of scientific citations, the DOI of each source (if available) must be provided in the list of references.
11) References – transliterated and translated English version of literary sources following APA style (American Psychological Association).
Technical requirements:
- The article should be written in the text editor Word for Windows.
- Font – Times New Roman, size 14, line spacing – 1.5.
- Margins: top – 2 cm, bottom – 2 cm, left – 3 cm, right– 1.5 cm.
- Paragraph indentation – 1.25 cm.
- Full justification.
Articles are subject to scientific review, which results in a decision on the feasibility of publishing the article. Rejected articles are not returned and are not considered again. The Editorial Board reserves the right to edit articles without distorting their content or to return the article to the author for improvement. Articles sent to authors for improvement should be returned to the editorial office no later than 10 days after receipt by the author(s). The date of the article’s receipt is the day the editorial board receives the final version of the text. Articles that do not meet the requirements are not considered.
