У цій статті розглядаються літературні джерела присвяченні питанню раннього лікування прикусу класу III та скелетних і зубощелепних змін, яких можна досягти за допомогою функціонального/ортопедичного лікування такого прикусу. Клінічний досвід авторів також відображено в клінічних рекомендаціях щодо використання передньої тракції з маскою для обличчя, чаші для підборіддя для лікування прогнатії нижньої щелепи, лікування за допомогою функціонального регулятора Френкеля 3 та ортодонтичних пластин класу III.
